A Pop-Up Bar For a Good Cause
Cocktails for Humanity is the result of the stewardship of our members and the community — it’s the exemplification that a whole can be greater than the sum of its parts. We’d like to think GP attracts members of a kindrid nature; innovators and entrepreneurs and our space was built to facilitate their kind. This is why when one of our founding members, Eric Barton, freelance writer and community advocate, campaigned to create a bar for charity during the monthly FATVillage Art Walk, we were all for it! GP has committed the space and our bar, Eric volunteered his passion for concocting a delicious drink, and we lobbied for the community to spend one evening volunteering their time to tend or drink from said bar — all for a good cause. Each month Cocktails for Humanity chooses a local non-profit to donate all the tips and proceeds of the evening to. The response has been tremendous and the outpour of donations has proven to increase the success of the event substantially each month!
