We are ecstatic to welcome GP Community Ambassador Cassia to the GP team!
Cassia can be found greeting you with an enormous smile, pouring you the freshest cup of coffee, or setting up for the next GP event! Did we mention that she’s a real life ballerina? She does most of these things with a prance in her step.
Have you found a favorite local restaurant?
I was really excited to move to South Florida for the Cuban food. It’s one of my favorite things to eat, and we had no good spots in Bradenton. I got a Cuban sandwich from Nuevos Cubanos last weekend that almost made me shed a tear. The owner told me he has been there for 39 years. I will be returning often.
What do you find unique about working in a coworking space?
I love the whole idea and vibe behind General Provision. Tim told me about his vision a couple of years ago, and I knew it would be a success. I love meeting people from different backgrounds and industries, and getting a peek at what it is our members do. It’s inspiring to be surrounded by such creative and talented people on a daily basis.
What’s your favorite book?
Picking one favorite book is tough for me. I love to read. But, my favorite genre is definitely children’s books. My mom was an elementary school teacher, and I spent a few years working in public schools. There are some children’s books that, to me, are pure perfection. A truly inspired book for kids is really a thing of beauty. A few of my favorites include: Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore, Flora and the Flamingo, and If I Built a Car.
What do you do when you’re not at General Provision?
When I am not at GP, I am definitely teaching dance, or working on my own dance projects with my company, Ovations Productions.
We heard it’s your birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY! What plans do you have for the big 3-0? Anything you’d like to accomplish in your 30’s!?
Thank you! I am STOKED to turn 30. I’ve got my best friends coming to visit, so we will probably be eating Cuban sandwiches and reading children’s books all weekend. In my 30’s, I would like there to be more dancing, more joy,and more living fully in the present moment.
