Graphic design, digital media, content creation, apparel design & manufacturing…the list goes on. Meet our multi-talented new Resident Member, Sam Love!

What’s the most challenging part about your work?

The most challenging part is balancing multiple disciplines and managing customer expectations. My business encompasses graphic design, digital media/content creation, and apparel design & manufacture. Sometimes the workload can be a bit daunting if there are multiple projects with similar deadlines.

And the most rewarding part?

The most rewarding part is being able to make a living doing something I love. I feel really fortunate to be able to pursue my entrepreneurial goals and being my own boss. It’s easy to work hard doing something you really love because it doesn’t feel like “work”. It just feels like “living” and that’s what life is all about right?

What is one area you are trying to grow in right now?

Right now I am growing in video production. I really got hooked after adding aerial/drone video into my repertoire and learn something new about every day. It’s really an exciting and fast growing field.

Any productivity tips or secrets you are willing to share?

Start early and finish late. Work at 120% in everything you do. You owe it to yourself and your clients will appreciate it.

What do you wish more people knew about you?

I’m one of the best billiard players in Broward Co.

Rumor has it you are quite the morning person, to an extreme level. Care to share why?

I’m a military brat. I grew up seeing my Dad wake up every morning at 4am to start his daily routine. He had a reputation as being a hard worker. My goal is to do the same. He is my greatest role model and I pattern my workday on what I grew up seeing every day. Thanks Dad!

What’s your take on the coworking infrastructure? And more specifically General Provision?

The co-working infrastructure is really a fantastic way for small businesses and entrepreneurs to have their own place of business at a reasonable price. The variety of different businesses and disciplines all under the same roof provides a competitive advantage to the singular individual who needs help with something in which they might not specialize. At GP, there is a really nice compliment of software developers and coding experts. I plan on creating an app for my business and am looking forward to passing that business over to them. I’ll be able to effectively benefit my clients and learn more about a skill I can use in the future.

When you aren’t working hard at GP, where might we find you?

If I’m not at GP you can find me out racing drones (my new addiction) or somewhere playing Street Fighter 5! I’m an arcade nut!
